Institutional Partnerships

Building the Ecosystem Together

No institute can serve mathematical talent alone. The path from a curious four-year-old to a publishing mathematician passes through many institutions — and the quality of that path depends on how well those institutions communicate, refer, and collaborate with each other.

The Rāmānujan Institute is designed from the outset as a network institution — a node in a broader ecosystem rather than a closed circuit. We seek partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to mathematical excellence and our belief that talent is equitably distributed but opportunity is not.

Partnership Categories

Academic Partners — Universities and Research Centers

We seek formal partnerships with Brazilian universities (USP, UNICAMP, ITA, IME, UFMG, UFRJ) and research centers (IMPA, LNCC) to establish: referral pipelines for our most advanced students; joint seminars and lecture series; mentorship placements for undergraduate and graduate students to serve as research mentors in our Hardy Program; and access to world-class mathematical environments for our students in their teenage years.

Competition Partners — Olympiad Organizations

We partner with the organizational structures of OBMEP, OBMC, and the Brazilian IMO delegation to ensure that our students are known to selectors, that our curriculum aligns with competition standards, and that our alumni who serve as competitors receive institutional support.

International Partners — Global Programs

We are actively establishing relationships with: PROMYS (Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists — Boston University), Canada/USA Mathcamp, Ross Mathematics Program (Ohio State University), Mathematical Olympiad Summer Program (MOSP/USA), and the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste). Our goal is that every one of our Hardy Program students who has the ability to participate in a world-class international summer program does so — with funding, with preparation, and with institutional support.

Corporate and Foundation Partners

We partner with corporations whose interests are aligned with the development of exceptional mathematical talent — financial institutions, technology companies, pharmaceutical and biotech firms, and philanthropic foundations with educational mandates.
Media and Outreach Partners

We partner with science communicators, educational publishers, and media organizations to increase public awareness of mathematical giftedness in Brazil — particularly to reach families in non-metropolitan areas who may not know that their child’s unusual mathematical behavior is a signal worth pursuing.

How to Establish a Partnership

All partnership inquiries are handled by the Founder directly. We begin with a conversation, followed by a written Memorandum of Understanding outlining mutual obligations, reporting requirements, and success metrics. All partnerships are reviewed annually.

To begin a conversation, please use our [Contact form] or write to the institute directly.
